Leonardo DiCaprio is one of Hollywood’s most respected actors. Here is a list of his 10 greatest performances.
1 – THIS BOY’S LIFE by Michael Caton Jones (1993) – DiCaprio’s first landmark role came when he was 18-years-old. His performance in a tale of American boyhood in the fifties, complete with narration from Ol’ Blue Eyes Frank Sinatra, also introduced the “rebellious” side of his personality that would fit many of his roles to follow. The film itself drags and drags, but De Niro in the role of his character’s despicable father backs him up with an intense and generous performance that allows Di Caprio to steal the show. De Niro and DiCaprio’s scenes together are not only stand-out moments in Michael Caton Jones’ film, but also far and wide the only moments that make this film worth watching.
